Long Range Systems of Dallas TX, USA invented the coaster pager (the original patient pager) back in 1993 and since then has patented many innovative products including the paddle pager, alpha coaster pagers for patients and our newest and most innovative product the use of SMS within our equipment to contact patients and customers.

LRS Patents:

Our products have been copied over and over, but the original in fact remains the best patient pager in the world. Other companies have taken our designs and 'embelished' them with things such as a voice - however that needs a speaker - and thats exactly where the first problem lies for patient pagers. Needless to say, we dont have any gimics - just pagers that are designed to do everything they are supposed to - and that includes using sprays or liquids to clean them from bacteria or viruses.

Where we're going:

We are continuously developing (and protecting) our new products which are innovative and lead the world where on-site- paging is concerned. We supply over 20 industries in the UK and aim to increase that further.

Our policy where patient paging is concerned:

Today, its not good enough to assume that patient pagers are unimportant where bacteria and viruses are concerned and in a hospital environment its absolutely critical to use equipment that is safe.

Our technology, while it does include the newest ways of thinking where on-site pagers are concerned, we never lose sight of the fact that equipment needs cleaning regularly - especially in this environment.

Indeed we are currently developing anti bacterial and anti viral solutions by way of plastics to combat these exact problems of infection.
Innovation is important, but here at Long Range Systems we have a far wider foresight than just gimmicks' like sound which compromises the products in hospital environments - thats why we don't include those sort of things - just simple easy to use, safe, clean products for your patients.
